LIVE LOVE LET GO

Live Love Let Go is a graphic novel project inspired by ‘The Reason to Stay alive’ by British writer Matt Haig. The book is a life affirming memoir of Matt’s own struggle with depression, and how he has triumph over the illness taught him to live. Like nearly one in five people, depression and anxiety are prevalent in today’s society as everyone go through negative emotions, some people just crippled by these feelings. This book is candid, sincere and therapeutic, triggering the tender part of people’s hearts. And Live Love Let Go serves as a synopsis of the book. I extracted three short stories from ‘The reasons to stay alive’ which respectively documented how Matt learned to get along with life, love, and eventually himself throughout his depression. In order to delineate the strong emotions of agitated monologue in the book, I used montage-like non-linear narratives. The final display product is presented in forms of A2 double-sided folds.
